These stainless steel compression sprayers are designed for the professional pest control operator, or regular user, and is certified as a sprayer that fully complies with the regulations of the World Health Organization Pesticides Evaluation Scheme (WHOPES). Mesto 3598BM.

Together with its sister sprayer, Doyen 3618 Pest Control (10-litre fill capacity), this is a sprayer for the professional operator. These models benefit from a number of special features including a large separate fill opening with a pressure click lock system with integral pressure release valve. This separate opening means that you don't have to remove the piston assembly in order to fill the tank, which is the standard filling procedure with compression sprayers. The Doyen also has a gauge to show the pressure within the tank and a second to show the spraying pressure. It is also supplied with a Constant Flow Valve which, when used, ensures that your spraying pressure will not exceed 1.5bar which is the optimum pressure for many pest control solutions.

This sprayer is supplied with a 50cm brass spray lance but can be used with all of our lance extensions up to a recommended maximum length of 3-metres.

Should I buy the smaller or larger tank?

You should buy the model that best suits your spraying requirements. I don't suppose that is a very helpful answer as it is fairly obvious that you would buy the sprayer that you need so what is the main difference between the sprayers? Tank capacity is the only real difference between the two sprayers so which one should you get? Personally, I always recommend getting the larger tank as it not only allows you to carry more liquid but potentially the tank can hold more compressed air meaning that you have a longer spray time.

What is the reason for the flow valve?

The supplied flow valve restricts the exit pressure to 1.5bar. This brings two benefits; firstly it will give you a longer spray time on a tank of air and secondly 1.5bar is a standard recommended spray pressure for many types of liquid.

The sprayer tank can be pressurised to 6bar which basically means that you can squeeze a lot of air into the tank and a lot of air means a longer spray time than a lower pressure sprayer (the standard pressure for a compression sprayer is 3bar). However, when you pull the trigger, to start spraying, the air wants to push the liquid out as fast as possible meaning that a 6bar sprayer will spray more liquid than a 3bar sprayer in the same time. Having a flow valve attached reduces the exit pressure to 1.5bar so your air leaves slower (longer spray time) and the liquid droplet size will be larger which is preferable for many types of application.

These sprayers are supplied with a 1.5bar flow valve however we also have 2bar and 2.5bar valves. Also, the valves can be easily removed if you don't want to use them for a particular application.
