Gallup Home and Garden weed killer is a glyphosate herbicide solution suitable for most applications to kill weeds from the root.

Gallup Home and Garden is a concentrated 360 g/l glyphosate herbicide with a professional formulation suitable for home and garden use.

Glyphosate is a non-selective systemic herbicide absorbed through the leaf and stalk to kill the entire weed. It is suitable to be used at all times of year, particularly during the growth season. It is inert in the soil after use so leaves no dangerous residue.

Gallup Home and Garden is a herbicide for the systemic control of annual and perennial grass and all types of broad leaved weeds. This 1 litre pack will give a coverage of 2,000m2 at an average dilution rate of 200-300ml per 10 litres of water. Crops can be grown approx 48 hours following application. The performance of Gallup Home and Garden can be further improved by using our adjuvant, Companion Gold, so saving you time and money.

It is very important that once applied you give the weed killer time to act. Don't start to worry if you haven't seen any change after 2-3 days and do not be tempted to re-apply. Providing that you have diluted and applied the product as directed then within 3-6 days you will see your treated areas changing. Initially the weeds begin to look a little 'under the weather' then, as the days pass, they will droop and their colour will start to change. One application is all that is required. If your growth is very thick then you may find that the larger weeds will receive much of the first spray. Once these start to fall away then the smaller weeds may require a second application.

After the use of any weedkiller, we recommend that you clean your application equipment thoroughly. To improve the cleaning we have a specialist cleaner, All Clear. This is particularly effective if the spray equipment will be used on vegetation.

What is the best time of year to use Gallup weed killer?

Gallup can be used at any time of the year but it is most effective when applied during the growing period of the plant. This means that the weed killer is best applied between the months of March and October.

How long does it take to kill the plants?

This weed killer will start to kill the plants very quickly after application but it normally takes a few days before you will start to see the effects. It is very important not to be too impatient, it must be remembered that this killer is transported through the plant to the root system. Once here, the plant will start to shut-down and the effects will start to be noticed.

Why can I not see the effects immediately?

There are products available that will show their effects very quickly, but these operate in a different way to many of the products that professionals use. Glyphosate is absorbed by the plant and taken into the root system. It does not 'burn' the plant itself but kills from within therefore the effects will take a few days to be seen. This does have advantages as the soil is not damaged therefore only the plants that are sprayed will die, the product is not transferred to the surrounding soil.
